  Jason “Jay” Schott was born in San Antonio and raised in nearby La Vernia.  After completing his bachelor’s degree at Southwest Texas State University, it was back to school to obtain his license as a Professional Real Estate Inspector, the highest level license attainable in the field.  As an added service to his clients, Jay also received his license as a Certified Pest Applicator from the Texas A&M Ag Extension, enabling him to perform wood destroying insect reports. 

Jay went to work for a locally owned inspection company in April of 2007, where his “real” education began, and remained with the company for ten years, until the company was sold to a national competitor.  Upon acquisition, Jay rose quickly to the top eight percent of all inspectors nationwide, and the top service score in San Antonio.

Today Jay has returned to his local roots, as Schott’s Inspections.  Having performed thousands of inspections in San Antonio and the surrounding area, he has forged relationships with premier realtors, and the repeat clients that request him by name.
